Welcome Back:)

I say welcome back because I haven't been on this site in about a year. I am currently working my dream job as an RN in the local ER. Loving it! I am currently an aunt and can't get enough of my new little guy Jackson. Other than that just trying to catch up on what real life feels like instead of school. My two goals this year are to try and get back in shape and to start giving my time and money to worthy foundations. Sunshine Children's Home is my current project:) This is a cause close to my heart because it is for my brother, Ryan. I am alive still, in case you wondered.

So, I have officially graduated from nursing school in May and I am onto get my license by taking my boards. It has not been an easy road...do I take an ATI review course, Kaplan maybe or just review on my own???

Next, my sister-in-law is getting married in October-holy moly! I am the matron of honor and I am so excited.

On last thing I want to mention. Sept 10th there is a walk/run in Monclova ohio for Sunshine Children's Home. It is a non-profit organization where my 34 year old brother resides. Check out my website to donate or join us for this great cause:)

Great Deals:)

So, I am always up for getting great deals. Here are a few things to consider.
Do you shop online? Well why not get cash back for just buying things you normally buy...no signing up for surveys or getting a credit card, just go to my link below and get $5 for just signing up.
http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=TefVGA6bGils%2FEeziSv7SA%3D%3D

Then for all the moms out there that buy diapers there is a program through Pampers that you can put in codes from the boxes of diapers you buy to get rewards. It's called Pampers Gifts to Grow and if you go to their website and sign up you get 100pts free. Then enter the code WELCOMEGTGPTS10 and get 10 more points free. I dont have kids yet, but I am doing it already because point codes are sometimes posted on the internet and why not reap the benefits.

Also, payless shoes is offering easter sales for 20% off with the code 44834. So, go to my link above and sign up for ebates and then shop the payless sale on there and use your code and get cash back-what a bargain:)

My final for nursing is tomorrow, wish me luck:) Then it is off to the ER for training-can't wait!

Happy shopping!

I am still alive.

So, I made it through the big 30 and I am about to graduate from nursing school. I thought I would have a couple kids by now and be well into my career, but hey I am happy with what I have. I have a great husband, wonderful friends and family and I am beginning my dream job. I can honestly say I am a stronger person for all I have endured.

What I have been doing lately? um studying:) Other than that I have been getting into coupons. Most of you that know me, know I like to get good deals...I don't like to pay full price for much and i will research places to get the price I want. Well, there is a lady in the area, Jennifer Myers who is a "crazy coupon" lady. My sister-in-law, Julie and I went last night to hear her speak and it has changed the way we look at deals and buy things. Take a look at some sites I have come across:

My Style, My life

Well hello fellow bloggers...I know it has been awhile, but hopefully you will understand why I havent posted in so long.

The latest with me is taking care of my hurt hubby. Friday March 19th at 1am I got a phone call saying Steve was going to the ER (he was in columbus). He was chestbumping and apparently came down on the curb or Josh Stedke's leg-who knows! Come to find out, Steve broke his fibula, dislocated his tibia and tore all the ligaments in his ankle. Which brings us to March 29th, Steve's surgery day. Here is a picture of the shirt I wore that day, it says Chest bump? Just don't do it! with the traditional nike sign.

In the midst of all of this, I had my 29th birthday. It is hard to believe I will be 30 next year...according to my nursing studies you start shrinking and become more susceptible to lots of diseases etc. I had a great bday filled with mexican food and dancing with friends. Along with my birthday comes presents:) If anyone knows me well they know that I am a coupon queen and I dont like to buy much full price. So, I tend to shop online or buy in store when things are on sale or I have a coupon. My latest love has been a site called www.etsy.com They have the most unique pieces that are handmade. Here are a few of my birthday money purchases.

So, as you can see I love jewelry. So, what displays jewelry better than a on the wall jewelry organizer. I got this thing online and absolutely love it! I also got the belt organizer from Hobby lobby-check them out.

Other than that, just chugging away with school. I have an exam Monday and then one more exam and the final. Hard to believe the semester is almost over. Things are going well and I am learning a lot about myself in the process.

Well, that is all for now. Take care! LA:)

The latest and greatest...

So, I am a slacker when it comes to blogging anymore...just bored with it. However, I have been inspired by reading others blogs and decided to post something new. My new favorite website is www.etsy.com it has some really talented people selling things on there.

What else is new...well, I got my clinical assignment for this semester. I will be at St. Charles every Friday working on VOO (vascular/oncology/ortho). I am super excited to hopefully learn a few things and get more comfortable with passing meds and doing IV's etc.

Other than that, my time has been taken up by animals (raccoons & mice) in the attic, a non-productive dishwasher, and watching many bball games (my sister and steve's team).

Speaking of my sister...she just passed her driving test this week-so proud! Crazy to think that I now have to worry about her being on the roads. Hopefully she will come and visit often. This week also was a special man's birthday in my life, my brother Ryan...he turned 34 on the 27th.

Well, back to the books...i have a test monday-wish me luck:)
